ELDER CARPENTERS AND MACPHERSON MADE IT TO THE USA

Glad to report that Elder Carpenter was given permission to enter the United States today. We received a phone call from the Carpenters @ 4:49 pm today, as they arrived at the Salt-Lake Airport.

At first all went well and they were given permission to board their plane , AND THEN, Elder Carpenter's fingerprint ,that was taken on Jan 26, appeared on their screen. The custom agent called Elder Carpenter back and the whole family had to wait 45 mintutes until Elder Carpenter was called back for a grueling "10 minutes" of trying to convince a custom agent who was not easily entreated. Good thing Elder Carpenter studied and memorized his papers. He finally was able to refer the agent to some of the pertinent papers that would convince him . Woofff!!! Glad it is OVER.

We also learned that Elder Macpherson passed EASILY and made it to USA.

After much tribulations and obstacles come the blessings..... We are all looking forward to read about their mission on their respective missionary blog. (See on the right side bar under the heading " Interresting Links")
